1 - Uncompress MakeItRun.zip
2 - Copy MakeItRun.jsxbin into the following location:
/Applications/Adobe InDesign [CS5/CS5.5]/Scripts/Scripts Panel
Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7
[Drive]:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign [CS5/CS5.5]\Scripts\Scripts Panel
1 - Choose Window > Utilities > Script to Show (Hide) the Scripts panel.
2 - In the Scripts panel, double-click on MakeItRun.jsxbin to run the script.
3 - MakeItRun will prompt the following dialog:
4 - Click the Choose... button to locate and select an older script (.js, .jsx or .jsxbin file). The default path that MakeItRun uses is to your ~user account's InDesign scripts folder. But the script doesn't have to be here; it can be in the Application's scripts folder; it could even be in any location of your hard drive or network volume.
6 - Specify the Adobe InDesign version where the script used to run correctly. If you are not sure which version of Adobe InDesign the script was created for, just try each version and see what works.
7 - Select the Embed Script check box to store the content of the original script into the new script. if you don't select this option, MakeItRun will create a script that includes a pointer to the old script. So don't move or rename the older script after you create it the MakeItRun version. Otherwise, choose Embed Script -- then you could even delete the older script if you wanted to.
8 - Select the Add Undo Support check box to undo the script as a single step after it has been execute (Edit > Undo). This option only works for scripts that don't close the documents they operate on.
9 - Click the New Script button, specify a location and filename, and click Save. MakeitRun will always create a new script with the active Adobe Creative Suite version name appended to the original script name. You should save this script where you usually keep your scripts for Adobe InDesign.
In scripts containing references to properties such as "activeScript" (app.activeScript), you may need to select Embed Script check box in order to run the script successfully.
